Tributes paid to Thevar on his 109th birth anniversary

: Ministers and leaders of various political parties paid rich tributes to late freedom fighter Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar on his 109th birth anniversary today.
The guru pooja wasa held at the Memorial in Pasumpon,also his hometown. Special poojas were also held, in which several members of the Thevar community offered prayers.
AIADMK Ministers led by O Panneerselvam, as also MDMK Chief Vaiko, paid floral tributes at the memorial in Pasumpon.
MDMK leader Vaiko, BJP Tamil Nadu unit President Thamizhisai Sounderrajan, Parliamentarian L Ganesan and actor politician Sarath Kumar also paid floral tributes at the statue of Muthuramalinga Thevar in Chennai.
