Tripura CM meets Union Home Minister
Press Trust of India New Delhi Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed with him various issues concerning the state.
During the 20-minute meeting, the Chief Minister briefed the Home Minister on security situation in Tripura, particularly along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Singh assured Sarkar of all possible help to his government in maintaining law and order, tackling insurgency and modernisation of police force, official sources said.
India shares a 4096-km long border with Bangladesh, 856 of which falls in Tripura.
