Troubleseems to be brewing in Kerala Congress(M)

Trouble seems to be brewing in the Kerala Congress (M), a constituent of the ruling Congress-led UDF, with a section led by Water Resources and Irrigation Minister P J Joseph reportedly miffed over "some issues", ahead of talks for seat allocations for the coming Assembly polls.
Joseph while admitting that there were "some issues" in the party, however, said they would be resolved through discussions.
The Minister's response comes in the wake of reports that the faction led by him was not happy with the functioning of the party leader K M Mani.
There were media reports today that Joseph had met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and had urged him to treat the faction led by him as a separate entity.

However, Chandy denied that Joseph had made any such demand.
"P J Joseph and all of us are together. He did not say anything on this matter. But I saw a 'breaking news' on this issue', he said.

Mani, who is in Delhi, said the party was united and there were no differences. The media is concocting stories, he told reporters.
Joseph group had kept away from the 'Farmers Dharna' organised by the party in Delhi today to seek redressal of the grievances of the rubber farmers.
The party which has a stronghold in the Central Travancore districts of the state has been championing the cause of the farmers, who are concentrated in the region.

The Joseph faction, which was with the CPI(M)-led LDF, had severed ties with the LDF and merged with the Kerala congress (M) in 2010.
