A pavement dweller, who was sleeping on the divider of a road in east Delhi's Okhla, was killed after being run over by a truck laden with iron bars, police said Friday.
The truck first hit a car, then the "unidentified" man, and an auto-rickshaw -- all in one go at 12:21 am at the Okhla red light crossing, they said.
"Police rushed to the spot and found that a truck, laden with iron bars, hit a car in the rear end at the Okhla red light crossing and then hit the divider, leading to the death of an unknown person who was sleeping there," said Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast)
