TV18 Broadcast logs Q1 net loss at Rs 14 cr

Media firm TV18 Broadcast today reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 14.1 crore for the first quarter ended June 2016.
The company had registered a net profit of Rs 8.61 crore in the April-June quarter in the previous fiscal, TV18 Broadcast said in a BSE filing.
Its total consolidated income during the quarter under review fell 22.8 per cent to Rs 210.7 crore, from Rs 273 crore in the same quarter a year earlier.
Total expenses during the quarter were down 21.3 per cent at Rs 239.2 crore.
The stock was trading lower by 12 per cent at Rs 41.35 in afternoon trade.
