"It is a pretty good development. It has just started in Indian two-wheelers. We will be releasing (radial tyres) in the coming months," P Vijayaraghavan, Director, TVS Srichakra Ltd, said.
Addressing reporters after unveiling the new logo of TVS TYRES, under which TVS Srichakra markets its products, he said the company's turnover stood at Rs 1,700 crore last year, and that he was 'positively hoping' it would grow by 10-12 per cent in FY 2014-15, touching the Rs 1,900 crore mark.
Young men and women motorists played a 'significant role' in the business, he said while explaining the rationale behind a more 'sleek and youthful' logo. The earlier caption of 'Ride Smart With Street Sense' has also been removed, he added.
"The new logo has greater dynamism and youthfulness. It is sleek, appealing and bold. It will help us move forward with greater zeal and enthusiasm, " Vijayaraghavan said.
He said his company, catering to the two and three-wheeler market, was producing 1.9 mn units of tyres every month from its two plants at Madurai in Tamil Nadu and Pantnagar in Uttarakhand.
