Two arrested for illegal transportation of firearms

Cyberabad police today claimed to have busted a gang involved in illegal transportation of firearms with the arrest of two persons from Sanathnagar railway station here.
Mohd. Imran of neighbouring Medak district and Ashih Gupta of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, working in a private company in Medak were arrested by sleuths of Special Operation Team(SOT), who recovered country-made weapons including three Tapanchas, a revolver and eight live rounds from them, police said.
Imran was in the process of selling the firearms to prospective buyers after he procured weapons from Uttar Pradesh, they said.
