According to police, the arrested have been identified as Sunny Kumar, a resident of Aligarh and Momeen, a resident of Bulandshahr.
"Police got information that that two robbers were planning to execute a robbery in Vijay Nagar area near Rathi Mill Power House this afternoon. Acting on tip-off, police laid a trap and arrested them," a police officer said.
The officer also said that they have recovered 10 quintals of iron scrap, a country-made pistol, two live cartridges and a knife from their possession.
