Two arrested with country made rifle, one escaped

Two poachers were arrested for possessing a country made rifle inside the forest area in Perinaickenpalayam on the outskirts today.
Forest departmental officials, who were on regular rounds noticed three persons moving in a suspicious manner for poaching animals in the forests, police said.
The officials managed to nab K Ayyasamy and P Ravi while attempting to shoot down a wild boar for meat.
However, another person, identified as Sivaraj managed to escape, they said.
Both were handed over Thudiyalur police for further action.
