Ketan Thacker, who owns a rubber mouldings firm, was arrested on Thursday while Nimai Agrawal, director of a chemicals supplying company, was picked from Hyderabad yesterday and placed under arrest here, police said.
The duo was remanded in police custody till September 3 by a court here, said an officer at Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police crime branch.
Thacker and Agrawal are among the eleven people who became members, replacing the deceased members of the club by allegedly forging the CCI documents in connivance with a club member and an IT officer.
The CCI's internal inquiry had revealed the fraudulent practices in the club some time back, following which it complained to the police and the EOW began investigation.
