Two boys feared drowned in Hooghly river

Two boys were feared drowned in the river Hooghly in Howrah district today, police said.
The two boys Sagar Dey (14) and Abhijit Dey (16), resident of Kaliprasad Banerjee Lane in Howrah district after playing football went to the Telkol ghat to bath in the river Hooghly.
As there was high tide at that time the two boys got swept away in the current of the Hooghly river, they said.
A search operation has been launched to find the two boys, the sources added.
