"Shaher Bano (22) of Nirdhan village was found dead with her throat slit on January 6 in the nearby forest. Her family members had earlier tried to implicate some innocent people in the case," Rajkamal Yadav, SP, City said.
The brothers-- Muntazim and Sherali-- have been arrested and police claim that the duo has confessed to their involvement in the crime.
Upon investigations the police found that Bano's family was opposed to her relationship with a youth of the same village.
"They killed her as she was allegedly tarnishing the family's image," Yadav said.
