Two children drown in Vadodara

Two children today drowned in the Vishwamitri river here after they slipped into deep water.
The bodies of Mehul Nayak (10) and Kalu Nayak (3) were fished out by fire brigade personnel from the river, an official at fire brigade control room said.
The two kids were residents of Govindvadi slum, located on the bank of Vishwamitri river near Karelibag area.
The incident occurred when the two were walking alongside the shallow water and suddenly slipped into the deep waters, the official said.
On receiving the alert, a fire brigade team was rushed to the spot.
