The incident happened yesterday in the Changa Manga forest area, which is 50 kms away from here.
"Two Chinese engineers along with their interpreter Azhar Sultan, yesterday visited the Changa Manga resort. They entered the Jungle area (of block II) for hunting. When they opened fire on the wildlife some of the wildlife game watchers rushed there and rounded them up," Ashfaq Ahmed, an official of the Wild life department told PTI.
The watchers also seized their guns and sought explanation from the interpreter about violation of the rules.
Dismissing their plea, the authorities arrested them after registering a case against them.
However, the duo were released after an intervention of a top government official on a fine of Rs 100,000.
