Two cow smugglers arrested in Mewat area

Two alleged cow-smugglers who were involved in illegal sale of cows and their carcasses were today arrested in Mewat area of Alwar-Dholpur-Bharatpur, police said.
Based on a tip-off, a truck was intercepted at Muhana point near Jaipur on February 25. During checking, it was found that the truck was carrying two cows and 28 carcasses, they said
The accused were identified as Jakir, 30, and Shabeer, 35, and hailed from Kishangarh in Alwar district, police said.
A case under various section of Rajasthan Cow Cruelty Act has been registered against the accused.
