Two dead, one injured in collision of trucks

Two persons died while another was left seriously injured when two truck collided in Nawada district of Bihar, a police official today said.
The incident occured near Godapur Chowk on National Highway 31 in the district during the wee hours.
Nawada Sadar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sanjay Kumar Pandey said, "A brick-laden truck was going from Nawada to Rajauli while another loaded with stone chips was coming from Rajauli side. They collided at high speed near Godapur Chowk."
The DSP said the driver of one truck died on the spot, while that of another died while being treated at the hospital. One helper of the truck is in critical condition.
Pandey added that one truck caught fire after the incident due to which panic prevailed in the locality. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames before they could spread further.
Both vehicles have been seized and the dead bodies have been dispatched for postmortem.
