The police, who started probe against Tirumallesh and Vinod, the two youths who are in their early 20s, on the complaint filed by the girls' parents, however said they were probing all possible angles.
The girls, aged 16 and 17, had met the accused around three years ago in Tirumala and since then they were in touch over phone, a senior police officer said.
A few days ago the girls went missing after which the parents approached the police alleging that Tirumallesh and Vinod had abducted their daughters and took them to Anantapur district where they raped them.
