Atul (18) and Amit (17), sons of Bachchu Gupta of Thikri village, drowned when they went to take a bath in the canal after playing with colours on Rangpanchami, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) T S Baghel said.
He said that the two bodies have slipped into the tunnel of Indira Sagar Project ahead and divers have been pressed into service.
The ASP said that due to darkness in the tunnel, divers were finding the going tough.
