Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested with 57 kg poppy in Jammu city, officials said on Tuesday.
A police team was on patrol in Bus Stand area of the city when they apprehended Tarsem Lal and Mukesh Kumar with 57 kg of the contraband recovered from their possession on Monday evening, the officials said.
A case was registered at Bus Stand police station and an investigation has been initiated, they added.
Meanwhile in Reasi district, an alleged drug peddler was arrested and 150 intoxicant capsules were seized from him in Katra on Tuesday, officials said.
Sewa Singh was taken into police custody and a case registered against him, they added.
