Acting on a tip off, the accused Deepak alias Deepu (31) and Ajeet alias Bhule (28), members of 'Karan Pahalwan gang', were arrested yesterday from Bhairon Mandir here and one country made pistol along with seven live cartridges were recovered from them, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said.
During interrogation, the duo said that the gang leader Karan Pahalwan wanted to extort money from one property dealer, Jaswinder Singh. So last Sunday, Karan along with Deepak and Ajeet called Jaswinder near Kharbanda Chowk and abducted him on gun point.
Further investigations are on in the matter, he added.
