Two get life term for killing girl

A local court has sentenced two men to life imprisonment for murdering a 14-year-old-girl here, police said.
Additional District Sessions Judge R P Singh held the two accused Tahir and Wakil guilty under various sections of the IPC and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them.
According to the prosecution, the 14-year-old-girl was strangulated to death by four men in Sikreda area of the district in March 2005. Later her body was recovered and the four accused were arrested. One of the accused was minor and sent to a Juvenile Court.
Two accused Tahir and Wakil were found guilty of murder, while one remaining accused Islam was acquitted due to lack of evidence.

The accused were also charged with gangraping the minor but the court acquitted them due to lack of evidence.
