Two get life term in murder of former MP's nephew in UP

A local court here held two accused guilty in the killing of former MP Liyakat Ali Khan's nephew and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
Additional District Sessions Judge Arvind Kumar Ray also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each on accused Ramesh and Inderpal after holding them guilty under section 302 of the IPC last evening.
According to government lawyer Mohd Anjum Khan, Haroon, nephew of former Member of Parliament Liyakat Ali Khan, was stabbed to death over a land dispute on November 27, 2002.
Police had registered a case of murder against four accused -- Ramesh, Inderpal, Shafat and Suresh -- in this connection. Suresh and Shafat died during the pendency of the case.
