Police has arrested two persons in connection with the murder of a local trader in Dankaur over a land dispute.
According to the police, history-sheeters Pawan and Manoj are suspected to have murdered local trader ManMohan Goyal following dispute over the sale of piece of land, and they are absconding.
SP (Rural) Brijesh Kumar Singh said Manoj's father Jai Pal and Pawan's brother Deepak were arrested today for their alleged involvement in the murder conspiracy.
Singh said police teams conducted raid at Ghaziabad,Hapur, Meerut, Faridabad and Bulandshahar districts to nab the duo.
Both Manoj and Pawan are involved in several cases of murder and loot and they are also a part of Anil Dujana gang. Manoj is involved in six murder and loot cases, while Pawan is involved in one murder case.
The dispute began when one Allah Baksh sold a piece of land to the relative of Goyal. However, some area of the land was not transferred in the name of Goyal's relative and Baksh tried to resell the land, to which Goyal objected.
Meanwhile, Dankaur traders union has announced a district bandh call and appealed all traders to remain closed tomorrow in protest against police, for their 'inability' to nab the main accused in the case.
