On a specific information, police conducted a raid on a shop at Pallanwala in Akhnoor belt of Jammu and recovered 13 pouches of liquor, police said.
The owner of the shop, identified as Vijay Singh, was taken into custody, they said, adding a case under the Excise Act has been registered and further investigations are on.
In another incident, police recovered 1.5 litres of country liquor from the house of one Baldev Singh in Khour area of Jammu district, they said.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against him and further investigation started, they added.
