The mishap took place near Koteshwar temple in Dumri village as a group of 'kanwariyas' were asleep on roadside when a speeding car ran over them.
While one 'kanwariya' died on the spot, another succumbed to injuries in a hospital, Sono police station in-charge Deepak Kumar said.
Two other 'kanwariyas' sustained injuries, he said.
The victims, both natives of Saran district, have been identified as Ajit Kumar and Satya Narayan Singh alias Satan Singh, Kumar said.
The driver has been arrested and his vehicle impounded, the police officer added.
