Two killed, 19 hurt as van overturns in Nashik

Two persons were killed and 19 others injured when a pick-up van in which they were travelling turned turtle in Chandwad taluka here, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday in Shelu village when devotees from various places in Kalwan taluka of the district were going to Bhutyane to attend a fair in this pickup-van and the driver lost control of the vehicle, they said.
The deceased were identified as Harishchandra Pawar (70), a resident of Karmale and Akkabai Kalu Pawar (40) from Mokbhanagi Meshi. The injured were admitted to Vadalibhoi and Chandwad government hospital, police added.
