Two killed in car-truck collision

Two persons were killed when a car they were traveling in collided head on with a truck on Lucknow-Varanasi highway near Kashthuni village in the district, police said here today.
Divyesh Pratap Singh and driver Rameshwar Prasad Yadav were killed on the spot while their companion Shivendra Singh was badly injured and rushed to the district hospital of Sultanpur, SHO Musafirkhana poice station J L Sonkar said.
The bodies were sent for postmortem.
The car was on its way to Sultanpur and the truck was running towards Lucknow, police added.
