A man and a woman were shot dead by unidentified assailants for allegedly having illicit relationship here, the police said.
Nasim Sah (35) and Sanoja Manjhi (35) were gunned down at latter's residence Saturday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajiv Mishra said.
Sanoja Manjhi was a housewife and a labourer who used to work with Nasim Sah alias Munna who worked as a mason, the SSP said.
Sanoja's brother-in-law has been named in the FIR apart from other unknown persons.
