Two persons were killed in separate incidents in Jharkhand's Palamau district on Thursday, police said.
A youth was killed after being hit by a goods train at Japla railway station, a senior GRP official said.
The unidentified youth was standing on the edge of a platform and talking over his mobile phone, when the incident occurred, he said.
In a separate incident, a 26-year-old woman died of snake bite in the district, police said.
The woman, identified as Savita Devi, was bitten by the snake when she was sweeping the courtyard of her house at Adhora village.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, police said.
