Two minor girls of a family died today while others were injured when the roof of their house collapsed due to heavy rains in Khai Phemeke village in this district, police said.
Sanjit, the father of the girls, said his wife Roman Bai, son Glou (9) and daughters Kajal (11) and Monika (7) got injured when the roof of their house caved in, they said.
The minor girls succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, police said.
Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Ramvir visited the hospital to meet the injured.
The DC said all the expenses of the treatment will be borne by the Red Cross Society.
