RPF officials spotted two minors, both aged 15, travelling alone in the Howrah Mail while attending the train at Dadar station, the official said.
"They were brought to RPF office in Dadar. Upon questioning, they revealed that they were residents of Nagpur. One of the boys provided us the mobile number of his father. The whereabouts of both the minors were passed to him," the official said.
The father then revealed that he had filed a kidnapping case with Buttibori city police in Nagpur against an unknown person as he had received an extortion call.
After following all the due procedure the boys were handed over to Buttibori police team, which arrived at Dadar yesterday, he added.
