Security forces had launched an operation against the militant outfit at Jothaipur under Dhekiajuli police station on the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border this morning and an encounter followed in which two militants were injured, Sonitpur SP Sanjukta Parasar said.
The two injured NDFB(S) cadres were rushed to the Kanaklata Hospital and one of them, identified as Mangal Daimary, was in critical condition.
The SP denied that there was clash between the two factions of NDFB(S) and NDFB(Ranjan Daimary) as reported in a section of the electronic media, but asserted that the security forces had launched an operation which was still on.
