Acting on a tip off, a joint team of SSB and forest department officials arrested Nirmal Bekay and Bhakt Bekay from no man's land yesterday, SSB deputy commandant V C Joshi said today.
The leopard skin, which was being taken to Nepal from here, had the jaw and 27 teeth of the beast intact, Joshi said, adding it is worth crores of rupees in the international market.
The two had got the skin from someone in Gorakhpur and were taking it to China via Nepal, he said, adding that an FIR has been lodged in this regard.
