Two Nigerians held with 2 kg marijuana

Two Nigerian nationals were arrested allegedly for drugs peddling and two kg marijuana was seized from their possession near here, police said today.
According to police, one of the accused, Nkeoga Chidi (38), was already facing trial for a similar offence in a local court.
Chidi and Lionze Nwato Ambrose (32) were yesterday arrested by Porvorim Police and two kg marijuana was seized from them.
"Both were apprehended by a police team when they (the duo) had come to deliver the narcotics," Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nelson Albuquerque toldreporters here today.
He said Chidi has been dealing in narcotics, and was booked by Calangute police in a similar offence last year.

"He is out on bail and the case against him is currently being tried in the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Court," the police officer said.
