Two persons, including a Bangladeshi national, were today arrested from a place under Raina police station limits in Burdwan district.
The Bangladeshi national, Hannan Mullick, was arrested from Mirchhoba area in Raina on the basis of information that he used to dupe people by supplying fake gold ornaments, officer in charge of Raina police station Sanjoy Roy said.
His landlord, Sheikh Samu, was also arrested for not keeping the police informed about letting out his house to Bangladeshi tenants.
Two others who used to stay with Hannan Mullick in the same house are absconding, Roy said.
