Two persons Dilip Rao and Prakash Balmiki who had arrived from Bangkok were detained by the Customs for tying to smuggle gold illegally into the country, Assistant Commissioner of Customs R S Meena said.
The Customs staff found 4.2 kg gold from the baggage of the duo which is valued at Rs 1.30 crore in the international market, Meena said.
On Monday night three persons who had come from Bangkok were detained at airport here after customs found them to be carrying gold bars worth Rs 25 lakh without valid documents.
