Two persons killed, one person injured in accident

Two members of a family including a minor girl were killed while another member seriously was injured when a trailer dashed the two-wheeler they were travelling on at Chilgu, about 30 kms from here, in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district today, police said.
The victims, whose identity could not yet been established, were travelling on their scooty when the speeding vehicle dashed them on Ranchi-Jamshedpur National Highway 33, killing a 12-year-old girl on the spot, Officer-in-charge of Chandil, Rajeev Kumar Singh said.
The girl's parents, who were seriously injured in the mishap, were immediately rushed to M G M Hospital here, where the girl's father succumbed his injuries.

The condition of the mother was stated to be critical, he said.
Singh said the trailer has been confiscated but the driver managed to escape the scene.
