Two revenue officials have been arrested Tuesday after being caught red handed accepting bribe for issuance of 'Fard-e-Intikhab' (revenue extract), a spokesperson of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said here.
A complaint was lodged by one Javid Ashraf that Naib Tehsildar of Jhajjar Kotli Faryad Ali and Patwari Yadav Chander has demanded Rs 90,000 as bribe for issuing the revenue extrant for a piece of private land, a spokesperson said.
"On the basis of the complaint, a case was registered under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Ranbir Penal Code was registered," he said.
A trap was laid and the twos officials were arrested red-handed, the official said.
