runover by a bus on Bhagalpur-Banka road in Bihar's Bhagalpur district today sparking off protests by locals, who blocked roads and damaged passing vehicles.
Police said the speeding bus ran over the two cousins on a bicycle. While the 11 year-old boy died on the spot, hsi cousin a 17 year-old girl succumbed to her injuries at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH).
The incident sparked off a protest by the local people who blocked road traffic on Bhagalpur-Banka road for hours and pelted stones on passing vehicles damaging many of them.
The bus driver escaped from the spot with the vehicle, the sources added.
