The two brothers, identified as Nitin (26) and Anuj (24), were headed to their workplace in Noida when a speeding Canter truck rammed into their bike from the rear side near Manota village, Muradnagar Police Station Officer Subodh Saxena said.
While Nitin died on the spot, Anuj was severely injured in the mishap.
Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and rushed the two to Sanjay Nagar district government hospital where Anuj was declared brought dead, he said.
Police have impounded the truck as the driver fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind.
An FIR under sections 279 (rash and negligent driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of IPC has been registered against the driver, Saxena added.
