Two teenage boys drown in river in Punjab

Two teenage boys drowned while taking a bath in Jalalia river near here, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when a group of three boys, belonging to Ratrwan village, had gone to take a bath in the river following which they slipped into deep water, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Sandeep Kumar (17) and Javil (16), they said, adding that their bodies were fished out from the river by a rescue team.
Another boy, identified as Sanjiv Kumar (16), was rescued by the locals, police said.
