In a moral policing act, the panchayat under Vettaikaraniruppu police limits had earlier fined the two -- aged 18 and 19 -- and the woman Rs 40,000 and warned against continuing their relationship.

Their bodies had been burnt by the villagers without informing police who registered a case today after a tip-off.
