The two were produced before a local court in connection with the case of suicide of a person stated to be victim of the gang which allegedly lured several persons, including politicians and businessmen, into sex traps and used their videos to blackmail them for money.
The court remanded them to judicial custody for 14 days and they were sent to Attkulagara Sub jail for Women in the city, police said.
They were charged with abetting the suicide of a businessman at nearby Venjaramood last month, who ended his life allegedly due to blackmail threat by the gang.
The two women have allegedly played a key role in the scam, police said.
The case took a sensational turn when another accused Jayachandran was arrested on July 24 here, where he had allegedly used a room in the MLA's hostel as a hideout.
