Somanti and Sunita, who comprise the firing squad led by 'sub-zonal commander' Maoist leader Lokesh, were arrested yesterday at a place in the district, Superintendent of Police Kranti Kumar told newsmen here.
He said the two rebels, who hail from neighbouring Palamau district, were named accused in the FIR following the killing of six police personnel near NH-75 in the district three years ago.
A loaded pistol and Maoist literature were seized from them, he said, adding Sumanti was the self-styled area commander of areas under Menaka police station.
They were engaged in enrolling villagers in their ranks, the SP said.
