The bodies of Santosh Kale (24) and Aamir Mogale (28) were spotted off the highway by a boy at about 7.45 am. Police suspect they were beaten to death past midnight last night.
The two were last seen in Mankhurd yesterday evening, police said, adding, "We are trying to locate their movements through their mobile phone records. Also, we are calling people who spoke to them over phone or in person yesterday."
An FIR has been registered and the double murder case is being probed from all angles, they added.
