Two youths arrested on charges of theft, auto-lifting

Two persons were arrested on charges of theft, auto lifting and murder from Fatehpuri Beri, police said today.
On a tip off, police arrested Rizban (28) and Chanderpal (30) and nine motorcycles were recovered from the duo, B S Jaiswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District said.
"Rizban has also revealed the name of a third accomplice who is on the run," Jaiswal said.
According to the police, Rizban is the gang leader and was previously involved in 17 cases of theft, murder, robbery, attempt to murder, and was booked under the gangster act.
Rizban was released from Meerut jail in January and thereafter he committed various crimes including auto-lifting in and around the capital, police said.

A police team has also raided possible hideouts of both accused in Meerut and Bulandshehar, to arrest other accomplices of the gang, they said.
