U'khand, Rajasthan residents among those killed in Panchkula

The Haryana government today said that 24 of the 38 people killed in the violence following Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's conviction in a rape case have been identified.
Of those identified, 11 each were from Punjab and Haryana and one each from Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, according to an official release.
The bodies of 19 deceased have been handed over to their kin after post-mortem examination, it said.
Earlier, Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) B S Sandhu said that 32 persons died in the Friday violence in Panchkula and six others died in Sirsa, the base of the Dera Sacha Sauda.
Dera Sacha Sauda followers had gone berserk after Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted by a CBI court in Panchkula in a rape case on Friday.
