According to some reports, the highly-anticipated LP would be pre-loaded onto the new phone and the Bono-fronted band would perform a new single during a launching event in Cupertino September 9, reported Ace Showbiz.
"They are not releasing their album on the iPhone, and they are not performing at the iPhone launch," the representative said.
Rumours of U2 teaming up with Apple first surfaced earlier this month after an eBay employee Stephen Browne spotted some people on the Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin, Ireland filming what he thought would be a music video for the band.
