The company has allotted Rs 20 lakh for the project during 2016-17 financial year, a company press release said.
Students studying in class 5 to 10 will be eligible for the scholarship.
Making the announcement at the launch here, Managing Director of UAE Exchange India, V George Antony said, the scholarship programme is to help students from economically weaker sections.
The initiative will help the youth build their confidence and motivate them to perform stronger.
Meanwhile, UAE Exchange India in Mumbai is planning to offer the scholarship to students from government schools across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane region.
Winning students from each class have to excel in their curriculum.
Principal/Head Master, Vice Principal and Parent Teacher Association will evaluate winning students by the end of the academic year based on overall performance including attendance.
Two students from each standard will get cash awards and a certificate from UAE Exchange, the release added.
