The DoP, which functions under the Urban Development Ministry, has to recover a total amount of Rs 364.42 crore from various ministries and state governments till February this year, Minister of State in the Urban Development (UD) Ministry Rao Inderjit Singh said in a written reply to Lok Sabha.
The UD Ministry owes Rs 79.24 crore, while Delhi government is yet to pay Rs 23.13 crore to the DoP.
The Defence Ministry owes to the tune of Rs 66.55 crore, while the Ministry of Communication and IT has a dues of Rs 56.64 crore.
The Finance Ministry has to pay Rs 29.37 crore to the DoP.
The Haryana government owes Rs 1.82 crore, while Karnataka Rs 1.65 crore and Odisha Rs 1.52 crore, the minister said.
